Car Radio wire trouble, please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

I just recently purchased a 2002 pontiac grand am. It did not come with the radio so I purchased a pioneer radio. To my surprise the harness that you plug the pioneer radio harness into to connect the wires had been cut off. So now I have my colored wires just sticking out. My question is: can I directly hook the wires from my pioneer radio to the colored wires sticking out from where the factory radio used to be without the harness?

are they the same color as the wires from ur new radio?? if so most likely u are looking at a stereo install harness and ur good to go...


** if not u can try and hook it up but more than likely u will fry the radio and possibly the car since everything runs through radio harness....

Ya, it is kinda iffy about getting the right wires and such. A auto electrician can test voltages on the different wires and refer to the wiring diagram to make sure U hook it up right.
Some states allow U to return a vehicle within so many hours and get your money back.
