Car Stereo for vehicle with no radio capabilities?

Hello,
Okay, so I'm trying to get my Mom something great for Christmas. She delivers mail, and drives one of the mail wagons now. She used to drive her own car, so since changing over to and"LLV" she has no radio, no AC.. nothing :(
Anyway, there is a cigarette lighter, and I was wondering if any of you know of a good kind of stereo or radio that she could use that would only need a cigarette lighter for operation. (No batteries.) Also, something that could be relatively loud.. she can't have headphones, so no handheld players either.
In my mind I'm picturing basically a miniature boombox, or something like that? If any of you have ideas for anything that might work I would be so appreciative. Links are great if you have them.

They make something called an invertor. It converts 12v to 120v or vice versa depends on the model you buy. These will plug into the cigarette lighter but some can be expensive depending how many outlets you want. Plug in a 120 device to it and there you go. An Iphone or Ipod station, or a regular old school boom box as you say, anything you like. You can get them at Radio Shack or Target. Good Luck.
