My fiance and I turned into a parking lot tonight and his car shut off while he was driving. We managed to push it out of the parking lot entrance and we checked under the hood. Oil seemed fine. It still wouldn't start though. It just so happened that a mechanic was walking out to his car in the small parking lot and helped us. The car went back on, but he gave us his card. We're going to stop by tomorrow morning. He said only drive it home. We drove back to my place (we don't live together yet; about five minutes away) and picked up my car, so I could follow him back to his place. As I drove closely behind him, I heard his car making noises and after he turned, his car started smoking. White smoke, and I could barely see in front of me. He said he heard a clicking noise.
