...place, but the front doesn't?
thanks,

There is no covers on the winder to access any screws, so that is not the problem, I am aiming to remove the door card. I looked down between the card and winder, I could see notches in the spindle to receive a clip, but it was about 3 mm off the winder. I have no idea, maybe someone has removed this on a nissan before?

Need a little more info, do you have the trim panel off?
Is there a cover over the face of the handle on the front? On some cars you just pop it off and undo the screw.

Ok well the handle is just cosmetic, so these cosmetic items are clipped or screwed on.
The 'notches' you see behind the door card should be there to act as a cog system to wind the window. This should have nothing to do with the handle.
If the handle isn't screwed on, then I should think it would be fixed using a clip built inside the handle then pushed onto the 'notched' part you see.
I would carefully lever the handle off to see if tere's any play in it, but be carefull not to snap it.
It should pull off, then you can remove the door card, and that 'notched' bit you see will be left sticking out .

You may be abe to find a dedicated forum for your car on the net if this fails
