In J.D Salinger's Catcher In The Rye, the behavior and attitudes displayed by Holden do much to bolster unflattering stereotype of contemporary North American teenager. Can someone give me evidence that Holden's behavior and attitude do much to bolster unflattering stereotype of North American teenager. Thanks!!
 
that book was written in the 1940s...teenagers have changed a lot since then.
