Please enlighten me on the practices of your religion.

I would like to know what it is that everyone's religion believes.
I wont judge you because you believe your beliefs and I believe mine.

I would just like to know what they are fr my own personal knowledge.
To all you who are actually answering my question, I applaud you-for you can see that it's soooo simple to just answer my question.
KUDOS to you.
Thank you!!!

Im not looking to change my religion. I am a CHRISTIAN-non denomination, and I just want to know what others believe. Is that ok with you?
That I know a little more about others who live in this great big world we live in? Is it? IS IT?? :o)

i am still trying to figure out what i believe.

i was an atheist for a long time, but just recently my beloved cat ran away. before she left, she was very sick and i didn't expect to ever see her again. i love her to death, she is the child that i don't have. anyway, i tried everything, but when there was nothing left that i could do except sit and wait, i decided to do one last thing; i prayed for her to come back. two hours later she returned.

i don't know if what happened was the work of god or some other higher power, or even just a coincidence, i am still trying to figure that out. :)

The best way to explain what Catholics believe is through the Creed.

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth, of all that is seen and unseen, and in Jesus Christ, the only son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, True God from True God, begotten not made, one in being with the Father.

Through Him all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation, He came down from Heaven. By the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. He was crucified under Pontius Pilate, suffered, died, and was buried.

He descended into Hell. On the third day, He rose again, in fulfillment of the Scriptures. He ascended into Heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son, He is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the prophets.

We believe in one holy Catholic and apostolic church, one baptism for the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.

Amen.

We also believe in the True Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. This is because Christ told us it was so. He told us that the bread is His body and the wine is His blood.

Many Protestants and non-Christians believe we worship Mary and the saints. This is not true. We do honor Mary and the saints, however, because they are good examples of how to live our lives, and they are closer to God than we are, having already been made perfect in Heaven. We ask them to pray for us in the same manner in which we would ask any person here on earth to pray for us.

There's so much else to it, too. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me or any other Catholic.
