I have an ATT RAZR. It broke.
I have a few months left on current on my contract. I am not ready to upgrade my phone as I love it and also have to sign a new service agreement. In order to buy just identical the phone from them it is about $300 despite having been a customer for as long as I can recall.

I read online that you could quote, " just buy an inexpensive pay as you go phone for $19.99 from Wal Mart and just put your SIM card in it." This was an article online and the info was supposedly from an ATT employee.

I don't really want a cheap phone so that had me wondering why I couldn't just buy an RAZR from eBay or Amazon for $75-$100 and put my SIM card in it.

Anyone done that or know of anyone that did?

Also, these phones from above sources say they are "unlocked" and some say they are "international versions."

What problem do you foresee, if any? Where is the SIM card??
Thanks
