Changed prepaid TELUS number, $15 balance is now $0, why?

I just changed my Telus prepaid phone number to a new one. I had $15 on my account, and it doesn't seem to have carried over to my new number. It's been over half an hour! Will Telus eventually transfer my balance? Serious answers only please, Telus' FAQ doesn't offer any help at all, and it will take days for them to respond to my inquiry about this. If you have had an experience like this, please let me know! Thanks :)
Thanks for your answer! I guess I should have mentioned originally that it charged me $10 to change my number, that is the current fee. And I have a screenshot showing that after I changed my #, my balance was still $15 (as I had added $25, and spent $10 on the fee). My phone won't work at all. I guess I will just go to a Telus store today and demand answers...LOL
