I usually a fan of Toyota, but I changed my mind after I got one caught on fire for no reason last week (totalled). I might have to sue Toyota or report it to local news soon
So, I really need suggestion from you guys
If you were to pick, which one will you go for

Chevrolet Malibu 2006 - price $6350, 90k miles (http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/ctd/1662733716.html)
Nissan Altima 2005 - price $ 7000 90k miles (http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/ctd/1646455763.html)

I need a car that will last long since I am broke. Which one is a wiser choice?

I recommend a Chevy Malibu. Nissam Altima is beautiful car and durable but if any component of engine fails, it is a pricey repair that will cost your wallet.
For example: Timing Belt- if that break, it destroy upper part of engine equals $$$ Go to Nissan Dealer ship and Chevy and get a quote to replace a timing belt.

Chevy Malibu is designed very well and if you stick with proper manufacture specs in maintenance, oil changes, tuneup following m.f.g. recommendation I guarantee you Chevy is a good investment. Don't forget to wax it once in a while also.

Reminder please purchasing on craiglist:
Bring a knowledgeable person (certified technician) with you, or take to garage for inspections
Check Carfax history. (read results air bag deployment, frame damage, flood, fire , salvage title)
Look for signs in car if it been in accident. check between fenders and hood and see if they align correctly both sides.

I wish I was there to help you in person lol. I wish you the best luck. I recommend Malibu :-) Good luck and keep me posted what you have choose - CONGRATS !

Of course Nissan Altima 2005! It lasts longer. If you are a good driver and will take care of the usual maintenance of your car, the Altima can drive up till 300,000 miles.
Their Fuel Economy is very close, so not much of a difference in gas usage.
Also, I have had almost every model of Nissan and have been really happy with them. (Nissan z350, Sentra, Altima, Maxima, Versa and Quest). If you go with the Nissan you wont regret it. Also, I check with the person you are buying the car from, I think the Altima's have transmission factory warranty till 120000 miles.
