Does the El Camino Conquista have a SS package? I'm asking b/c I have a 1984, and the VIN is registered as a Conquista/SS model. How exactly do you tell if its SS or not?.....mines has v8, 350, 5.0L, 4bbl.
If the Vin # on the title maches the car it was a SS package back then and could have been changed.A 350cu.in. is a 5.7 liter engine and a 5 liter is a 305cu. in.
The vin # will give you all kinds of info for your Mino. If you do not own a Haynes manual for your vehicle, I would recommend one. They come in very handy when you want to take on projects on your own. They usually run about $20.00 It even breaks down the vin# at the beginning of the book. I put a website for you to check out. I did not find anything about being SS Conquistas. Good luck.
the air dam under the front bumper is a good clue. i have a 81 elcamino. is it an automatic on the floor? on your dash, do u have the ss emblems? u have dual exahaust? i think u can google your vin to find out if u do have a true ss.
