Dear Christian Brothers and Friends,

I recently received a letter from a concerned parent. In the letter she told me that her daughter had been raped, but was refusing to marry her rapist. The stupid girl actually wants to press charges on the man!

Not only that, but that she also plans to kill the poor unborn baby her rapist had given her! Sickening! Have young people today got NO morals?

Any and all advice on what I can say to convince this girl to do the right thing would be great. Should I start with the basics ?

"Whore, you'll burn in Hell for all eternity - unless you marry your rapist."

Or should I go for a more subtle approach, I am doing my best to do the LORD's work. For the law of the Bible is PERFECT and ETERNAL,

Are you shocked at this woman's actions? If we all voted Republican this wouldn't happen! The bible should be LAW! Any TRUE Christian would agree with me!

I'm a "true" [genuine] Christian and I do NOT agree with you. You are quoting scripture out of context for one thing. Also; if you had the basic of education in theology, you would very well know that the Old Testament Covenant [contract] was between the Jews [Israelites] and God - not Christians ! Are you sure that you are not this girl you speak of, your prejudice towards God is the "Rapist" and Christians are the "baby" you are "impregnated" with, that you would like to kill?
You really need to get yourself a life - or maybe a second one, at that !

The woman ALWAYS had the choice as to whether to marry her rapist or not. If she said no, he was taken to court and tried as a rapist and given the punishment that was given for rapists.

and you know what, there are TONS OF PEOPLE WHO CAN'T HAVE KIDS AND WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A BABY. so not killing the baby, and putting it up for adoption is a much better approach.

you are changing the scriptures the bible does not say that

Deu 22:28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;
Deu 22:29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

it does not say he raped her. it says they had sex together willingly

you are applying your own meaning to scriptures
