Christians if you say that Jesus Christ is a son of God and we Muslims say

Prophets teach about the power of God.Jesus Christ, the Son of God,has been given His Father's power, specifically the power to grant salvation.

I believe it is that Christians are trying to help you see that you must believe that Jesus is the Son. He said you must go through the Son in order to get to the Father. Also we believe that your Muhammad was a false prophet that caused much harm to this world. I for one do not want to see even my worse enemy perish for eternity. It should be that Christians try to help others and see the truth, not fight. Fighting is of the devil. I will only speak for myself because each person is different and behaves different.

They believe he was "god," and the son of "god" at the same time.
It doesn't make sense to me either....But than again, I find worshiping any 1000+ year old story about some guy's desert hallucinations to be quite baffling...

At this rate, some day people will all worship Hunter S. Thompson, quoting Fear and Loathing lines to justify their insecurities.

Christians, fundamentalist or no, have a firm and unmoving stance on monotheism. Most do not realize that Muslims acknowledge Jesus Christ both as a person, a prophet, and the "son of God," but because Islam incorporates all the major prophets of the major religions and sees all gods as the one true God.. despite the fact that Christians can justify the idea of the Holy Trinity, they cannot apply this concept to another religion. Mostly, it just comes down to the lack of education, and the basis that most Christian sects are unable to question their beliefs, because this is seen as an affront to God and a slippery slope into damnation and evil. Fear, I suppose.

The difference is, we have received Him as Lord and Savior, because we believe Jesus died on the cross for the sin of man. Muslims put Muhammad ahead of Jesus, as if Jesus is just another prophet. That is why Christians are born again, and Muslims are just practicing another religion. Muslims are not saved, and cannot be saved through Islam; but can be saved by accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. The cross is what all the dispute is about, and Muslims do not accept Jesus as their sacrifice for their sin, and therefor no Muslim has eternal life through Islam as their belief. Romans 10:8-10 is how anyone can be born again. Jesus is the Son of God, not a son of God, because God has no other son who was born in this world of His Holy Spirit. Christians become sons of God because Jesus died in our place for our sin. Jesus is our substitute, and went to hell in our place, so we can become the righteousness of God through Him ( 2 Corinthians 5:21 ).

While those things are not mutually exclusive, most Christians seem to believe that Jesus is god himself, despite the fact he made it clear that he was only a middle man.

Good question.

Anybody who has read the Qu'ran knows that Jesus (Isa) is central to the solution of all mankind's problems. There is no dispute about this.

Allah took Jesus to heaven where he awaits until the day of judgment when he will return to earth (3,55).

In agreement with the Bible, this isn't a literal return to earth but when he receives directions from God to remove all evil. Psalm 37:29
