Christians, is it just as wrong to perpetrate bogus stories about religious...

...topics as nonreligious ones ? I have noticed that some Christians have bogus stories about visions of Hell, atheist deathbed scenes, visions of impending punishment on America, etc. I am noticing that I have developed that habit "because it's okay if they do it". Mine are about past lives, punishments, finding coins, etc.
byHisgrace: Not proof, but the religious ones don't happen in the real world. I have had "unsaved" family members pass away without seeing demons or flames.

Basically, when they don't have any evidence on their side, they realized they could just make up evidence and at least sway some gullible people. In the end it gets people in the seats donating money.

Lying for Jesus is still lying though. But considering you have to ignore the evidence of reality and lie about it to just believe in God and Jesus from the Bible (a book that contradicts physics, natural history, biology, and history), it just comes as second nature probably.
