Christians, please answer a serious and sincere question?

According to your religion, if a man marries a woman thinking her to be a virgin, and then discovers she is not, is it appropriate Christian behavior to go seeking punishment or retribution against her? I thought your religion preaches turning the other cheek and loving your neighbor; surely a spouse who you have vowed to love is deserving of this even more than a stranger. Chastity may be a fine virtue, but did not your savior himself stand up even for prostitutes?

In short, is this man really being a good Christian, or have I entirely misunderstood your religion? Thank you.

Who are you writing about? Obviously not a Christian. The Christian role modeling on this issue began with Joseph when he discovered that Mary was pregnant before their marriage.

It is very common for Christians to ignore Jesus' teachings including even this, the one of paramount importance, that if practiced will put a stop to hate, retaliation and even war:

John 13:34-35

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” :all mighty:
