...- will you give it a go? The wages of sin is death, but it cant only apply to humans if god cant even escape those wages. Even if god did it for us, SOMEONE still had to die. otherwise it would have been much simpler, swifter, and more peaceful for god to have forgave us, wiped the slate clean, and offered us eternal paradise simply because he can do anything he wants without limitations. if the sins of man are great, and satans are greater, then why doesnt satan die swiftly like us, instead of living practically forever? angels (unless they look nothing like people) are created in gods image. we are just a created spirit too, just with a 'material' shell. if the wages of sin only applied to humans,(who have free will) and not other creations of god that sin(who also have free will)-satan had to have free will to rebel) - then it wouldnt be just in any way because there is no difference.
uh-oh, some people are not noticing the part where satan rebelled, so he had free will

Though our fleshy organic bodies die......our spirits live on just like the angels....so in that respect I think we are the same time wise. It may seem we die more swiftly then they do...but when you compare, say a thousand years as a spirit to 70 human years?.....you know? It's all relative.

It all has to do with the purchasing power of your wages in heaven versus here on earth. God, like the Chinese, keeps heavenly wages artificially deflated.

You asked for Christian answers, and as an atheist, I think I should be here to offer my 2 cents:

God is a fairy tale, like Elmer Fudd.

Read this...
The wages of sin are death and God could've easily condemned us all to death because we deserved it. But then he sent his only son Jesus who was God to die to sin so that the wages of sin could be paid in full. It would be easy to have simply forgiven us and wipe the slate clean but then that would be a major contradiction to the laws he placed for men. Its not like God to contradict himself so those wages had to be paid. What better way to cleanse everybody from dying to their sins than to take one who was without sin and make him sin so that through his sacrifice all may live. That's what Jesus came to do and that's why we have life

"if the sins of man are great, and satans are greater, then why doesnt satan die swiftly like us"

Well if you think about it, God is actually employing satan to do his dirty work. Without the threat of damnation the whole christianity thing falls in a heap. Why would God destroy his most valuable asset?

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23

Wages are earned and deserved.
Gifts are unearned and undeserved.

where in the Bible does it state that angels are created in God's image?

humans and angels aren't grouped into the same category. "for God so loved the world...". a simple study of angelology will tell you the purpose of angels, why they were created and what will happen to fallen angels. hint: they're cast into the lake of fire with satan and all other unbelievers.

The difference lies in out physical bodies. We are subject to physical death. Unlike them. The difference is that we are able to seek our spiritual salvation.
Their fate is sealed. They are under condemnation.
The wages of sin are spiritual death.

There is no separate Satan. In God's creation everybody WAS created equal. He gave the so called FREE WILL also to all. But a rule was made stating that one will pay for all his actions. Some choose to become Satans by doing bad things while some choose the opposite. So it is up to you to use your free will positively and reach Godly state instead of a satanic state.

This is cause and effect cycle that comes under the heading Karma. You reap what you sow.

And regarding animals, Yes they are out of the karmic cycle. Like karma, the other term for this is "swadharmic" nature. By nature a tiger will kill. Period. It does not earn any negative thing for that act of killing.

The way I see it is God could have done it swifter, but man has to pay a price for a sin..

To get things done swifter one would get away with ones crime, but as God would have it God makes one serve ones sentence, its the way of causal effects..

Everything has to come to pass in real time..

There is no satan. It is our Karma.

What Is Karma ?

Do you have the answers to the following questions?

?

Why are some born healthy and some with severe health problems?

?

Why do some people suffer more than others?

?

Why do some people live a good life and some a miserable one?

?

Why is life full of ups and downs? One day we are happy, another day we are sad

?

Why do some people die from diseases like cancer and some naturally?

?

Why are some people born more fortunate than others?

?

Why is there a difference between each person's lives?

?

Why do some children suffer from birth and die at very young age?

Sanatan Dharma is the only religion which can answer all of the above questions, and with complete satisfaction.

A Christian woman went to a Christian preacher and asked him why her young son had died at a young age. The Christian preacher could not give her an answer. She found the answer to her satisfaction in the Bhagavad-Gita.

The answers to all the above questions is:

The Law of Karma

For every action you take there will be a reaction in the future. This is the law of Karma.

Whatever activity we do, good or bad, brings us good or bad reactions. For every action you take, you will face a reaction in the future, which could be a few seconds away or 20 years away or your next incarnation. If you take good actions, you will face good reactions. This may come in the form of good health, wealth or birth on higher planets etc. If you take bad actions, you will face bad reactions in the future. The bad reactions may come in the form of disease, poverty or birth on one of the hellish planets etc.

When we suffer, we are facing the bad reactions to our bad actions taken in the past.

Our actions include everything we do, including our physical deeds, our words and thoughts. There will be a reaction to all our actions.

Taking good actions builds our good karma (joy and happiness in the future).

Taking bad actions builds our bad karma (disease and suffering in the future).

Actions, which result in bad Karma: Eating meat, violence, ignorance, harshness, untruthfulness, lust, anger, greed, attachments, desires, gambling, ego, and alcohol.

Actions, which build good Karma: Vegetarianism, non-violence, generosity, charity, self-control, truthfulness, simplicity, forgiveness, religiousness, and cleanliness. Free from attachments, desires and ego.

Your destiny is in your own hands. You are held responsible for all your actions.

The reason why some people suffer more than others is that they sinned more than others in their past and thus they are now facing the bad reactions to the bad actions taken in their past.

The reason why some good people suffer all their life is because although they are now good. They still suffer because they are now facing the bad reactions to the bad actions taken in their previous lives. But because they are now taking good actions they will face good reactions (be happy) in their next life.

The reason why some really rotten people enjoy a good life despite being rotten, is that they are now facing the good reactions to the good actions they took in their previous lives. However, because they are taking bad actions now (being rotten), they will face bad reactions in the future (suffer).

God does not make one happy for no reason nor does God make one suffer for no reason. Karma is a very just law.

If a person takes good actions in life and thus builds good karma, he or she will be born into a better life in the next incarnation. A sinner who leads an immoral life may be born as a poor person or as an animal in the next incarnation. A person is born again and again to reap the fruits of his or her own actions. This cycle of birth and death continues until the person attains moksha or freedom from the cycle of birth and death. Moksha can be achieved through Krishna consciousness.

1. The wages of sin is death.

2. Angels had their judgment just as we will have ours.

3. The Angels knew God far more intimately than we currently do and were judged more immediately because of it.

4. Humans sin but it was not sin itself that condemned the Angels but there inability to repent as when they sinned they had full knowledge of God. When humans sin they do not.

5. We are allowed this time of grace WITHOUT the full knowledge of God to accept that we are powerless over sin without God's grace. We may continue to struggle with sin due to our human nature but when we die we will stand before God in spirit and we will know our own hearts just as God knows. We will then be judged accordingly. We will all exist forever as we are permanent creations of God.
