If you are a true follower of Jesus Christ, then truth be told that faith is absolutley the only thing you need. But fact is, we are people to. It is very reassuring when we can believe in something that is scientifically proven. The bible says to be in this world, but not of this world. So that although we strive to be Christlike, we are still flesh. We still are sinful. And proving God is a way to assure the half hearted Christians of Gods existence.

Because faith without action is unable to prove anything. If you have faith that God exists, but are unwilling to do what He says, what good is faith. However, if you have faith and are willing to do what God says, then you can prove God.

The existence of God cannot be proven. Very few things can be proven. But there are strong markers pointing towards the existence of God.

Since, however, the evidence still falls far short of proof, the act of faith still does involve a risk.
