And do you get free will in heaven? If so, wouldn't that mean chaos?

Explain in detail what you think heaven is please :)

thanks thanks, and people who are planning on attacking this question because it involves Christians just get out omg

I believe in the Heaven described in the Bible, in the books of Ezekiel and Revelation.
I believe we will be in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and we will have a progressive revelation of His beauty for eternity.
In a way there WILL be free will, but as we will be transformed to totally conform to Jesus Christ, our will will be overlapping the Lord's will. This is how you prevent chaos.

Does it make sense?

I'm not religious but I would love it if there turned out to be some kind of heaven. I doubt it would be a Christian heaven, unless you christians have your own heaven to go to and the countless other religious beliefs involve their own heaven.

But if there really is life after death and it was supposed to make you feel like "heaven", then I would love it if it was a place were all the things you wish you could do in life were to be able to happen. As if you had an infinite amount of great luck, no bad luck, and whatever you dream can come to be. I would like to live in a world similar to the one we live in now and be some kind of superhero with powers, and also learn the answers of the universe, and to be able to turn the world into something great without suffering. It's impossible in our world, but in a heaven, it would be ideal.

The same but better of the good things that are here.

Sports? Maybe.
Eating? Yes
Work/purpose? yes
It is going to awesome!!!!

my grandpa just went to heaven about 2 months ago... cancer took his body but jesus has his spirit<3

it is written in the bible that we will be in union with christ living with god in his glory forever. he will wipe every tear from our eyes no more pain nor suffering

yes there will be free will but NO desire to commit sin! just to praise god!

in heaven everyone is all about love and singing to god...

This was one of the reasons I started questioning Christianity. Everytime I asked my priest what heaven was like, he was all like, "yeah it's awesome" or something to that effect.

What I really wanted to know was whether or not they had vending machines. To this day, I have no idea whether or not Jesus and co have access to Coca-Cola; the very prospect frightens me!

In all seriousness, I think I'd prefer hell. Hell isn't necessarily a place of eternal suffering, it's just removal from God, and given all the doctrinal bs I was fed as a kid I realised that I'd much rather be in a world where we're free to make our own choices and be good because we want to, not because we're told to. Besides, how can we appreciate peace and happiness if we don't remember suffering?

@ Whispering Trees; angels don't have free will. They do in the sense that they're capable of rational thought, but to deviate from the word of God is to relinquish one's status as an angel, which is literally a servant of the Lord. After that, an angel becomes a demon; same species, different title.

It's like saying that freedom of speech exists in Iran; sure, it does in the sense that you won't be physically prevented from saying anything because you're incapable, but to do so would be to sentence yourself to death afterwards. Can free will really exist if it's suppressed?

In Heaven you will not know what sin is and it will never be used up in Heaven because there is peace in Heaven. Everyone in Heaven will be able to be rejoiced with their loved ones and be there until the Day of Judgment.

Is this confined to Christians? If not: the universe as it is but with no time limit. Yep, that simple.

Even the angels have free will. For without it, Satan and his followers could never have rebelled against God. But when you love God, you don't want to be rebellious. We who will be in heaven will not be rebellious, or we wouldn't be going there in the first place. My Jesus died for me. He loved me more than I can ever comprehend. Why would I want to be apart from such love?

I imagine Heaven having nothing in it. Just God. God is all we need. But Christ did say he would build a place for us in Heaven, and that city will come down here on earth, where our place is.

YES WE WILL AND WE WONT MESS UP CUZ WE will become perfect and marry Jesus...it is paradise with no suffering...for details see the BIBLE...

Anything your heart desires, basically a paradise with no pain and suffering, I can't wait!
