I just got done watching the final episode of Clannad: After Story (by final episode I mean episode 22) and I'm a tad bit confused. I think some of it just went over my head. I get that there's a dream world and the girl in it is Ushio and I think the Robot is Tomoya if I'm not mistaken. But I was a bit confused about the dream-like sequence where Tomoya tells Nagisa that he doesn't regret meeting her. Did that just occur in his mind after Ushio died or something? And as for how it turned out, did it end that way because that was Tomoya's wish? Thanks for clarifications.

yup the robot is tomoya for sure
nope, at that time as u remember, Tomoya was like have a flash/viewing scenes about another world.. so yeah, its kinda appearing in his mind. those "dream-like sequence" might be the truth which happening to the other Tomoya on "another world". it's not turned out because Tomoya's wish then, because it's the truth (that he viewed accidentally/magically, that's why if u read the author's description on wikipedia, it's revealed that he can somewhat change those magical things like a "magical realism")
that's why for the proof of "another world", you can see as eps 24 on season 1 (Clannad ~another world~ Tomoyo's chapter) AND eps 25 on season 2 (Clannad ~another world~ Kyou's chapter)
