I went away on a mountain for a weekend, lots of off-roading was had. I was on logging roads at relative speed (60 KM/HR or 35 MPH) and lots of steep hills. It wasn't to the point that I had to use the differential locks, but it was good off roading. I put my benz to rest, no damage was done. A few days later I go to give it some exercise, and it fires up perfectly, I press the clutch, and attempt to put it into reverse, it grinds and wont go into any other gear. I push the clutch a few times, exercise it, no change. I start and stop the motor, rock the car, everything. I even started it in gear with the clutch "engaged" and the starter moved the car. It was in perfect shape when i returned from my off-roading adventure, I'm not sure what could have caused this. Any thoughts? I know its my clutch, but I don't know much about it as i haven't had this wagon for long. Any input will be appreciated.
