Comcast remote not working with Motorola DCH3416 DVR?

I got a new Comcast remote and Motorola DCH3416 box; however, the remote does not work for the DVR. It does work for the TV. In the remote manual, it says it should have come pre-programmed. I used the code 01982. Any suggestions?
