Could I use my Grandma's upgrade on Verizon?

My Grandma isn't on our family plan so I don't knoe if that would prevent it. Also I currently have a smart phone with an unlimited data plan. Will I lose that if I use her upgrade and don't wait for mine which isn't until july of 2012. Thanks

Hi.Just tell your grandma to purchase the phone that you want. It's probably best to go to the Verizon store to do this.Just tell her to buy the phone but keep her old phone still activated. Not to switch over. Then she can give you the new phone & you activate it.To active it you just dial *228 + send and press option 1.Your plan should stay the same
