Could modern medicine have saved Lincoln after he was shot?

After being shot by Booth's derringer, President Lincoln was carried to a boarding house across the street, where he died 9 hours later. He was unconscious the entire time. A doctor probably did more damage than good by probing inside his skull with a finger, and declared his case to be hopeless. The bullet was small caliber and did not hit his frontal lobe, though in his time it was certainly fatal. Sadly, our greatest President "belonged to the angels" the next morning.

Now my question is: say instead of a house across the street, there was a modern hospital and trauma center. Would Lincoln have lived? What would his condition be like?

There was an article about this written here: http://www.stogiebros.com/links/hallofshame/What%20if%20Lincoln%20had%20lived%20-%20CNN_com.htm

But I want a second opinion! What do you think - especially any doctor or nurses or other experts reading!

Possibility of survival can't be ruled out,as 9 costly hours lost.Today's time with so modern facility could
save his life.

yes
and modern law enforcement would have worked even better
a couple of Secret Service Agents standing outside the Lincoln's theatre box would have prevented his being shot at all
