it is being said according to the Mayan Calender that the world will end in December 2012.
but these websites say it will not come true.

But with these earthquakes recently from around the world (Chile, Afghanistan, China, Haiti,Sumatra etc) and Volcano in Iceland.... could it be leading towards a cataclysm? or not?

Okay, so here's the thing about the Myans. They had a long count calendar. Now this calendar has never repeated itself since it started. It just so happens that it will start over in 2012. Just like our calendar stops, and then restarts again every year. The same is happening to theirs. Now, as for the earthquake increase etc. There's not really been an increase in earthquakes. The media is just reporting them more since the disaster in Haiti because of ratings. However, the theory is that every 200,000 years the poles on the earth actually shift and north becomes south and south becomes north. However, it takes 50,000 years for this shift to occur. It doesn't happen over night. So the shift is occuring, yes, but it started to occur maybe a couple thousand years ago. It's not going to one day just happen in our lifetime. Remember, it takes roughly 50,000 years to transition to occur. Therefore, stop worrying the world is going to end. The entire history of humans has worried about this same thing the entire span of our existence. Yet, here we are. Everyone is always saying the world is going to end, and etc etc etc. The truth is this: there's no data to back it up. That is unless we all kill eachother. Okay?

No.

First of all the Mayans did not prophesise that the world would end, it's just that their calender comes to an end in 2012. That is no more significant than the fact that our week comes to an end on Sunday.

Secondly there is no reason for believing that any pre modern cultures have a special ability to predict the future.

think about all the things that could cuase it im not saying its true but it definitely could be bee population is rapidly decreasing if the bees died off they would not be able to pollinate flowers there would be no crops thus we would all die becuase we couldnt just eat meat animals need plants too or a giant meteor could hit the earth or the carbon dioxide level might reach a breaking point and we would finally reach the point where we cant breath anymore or my theory we will create a jet that breaks the speed of light and there will be a worse consequence than the sonic boom whenever we break the speed of sound that shatters windows now imagine breaking the speed of light

The Mayans never made that prophesy, it's a well spread HOAX!
The Mayan calendar does not end in 2012, that too is a well spread hoax.

The earthquakes this year has been perfectly within the normal statistics. They have not been worse at all. The difference is that they have stuck where there lives more people, something that will happen again since there are more people in the world now.

The volcano is nothing strange either. Once again it happens regularly and it will happen again. Nothing strange.
