If a text must be interpreted in different ways:
-literally
-metaphorically
-allegorically
-contextually

One could probably spin the text to believe in anything they want. Now if it can be spun to mean anything the interpreter wants, for what they want to get across at a particular time. Does the text now stand for nothing? Mainly cause it can stand for anything?

ex. The bible.
The story of Adam and Eve. Some believe its literal, some say its metaphorical. Now biologically speaking it cannot be literal because we all know women did not come from mens ribs. So if that part of the story is wrong it makes the entire story wrong because the text should be inspired by the word of God. And if it was inspired by the word of God, then he wouldn't say something that was wrong.

How about the sky. Now it says in Genesis it says: "And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

But this is wrong. Here is why. Earth's atmosphere (sky) is mainly made up of nitrogen- 78.1%, 21% O2 and 1% other.. Now if our atmosphere (sky) was closer to 90-100% H20 (water) then the bible would be right. But we find that the oceans are made up of water (H20) while the atmosphere is mostly made up of Nitrogen (N2) and Oxygen (O2). Now if Earth's sky isn't made up of mainly H20 then that bible text is wrong.

Now should it then be interpreted metaphorically. Which means that such a thing as Adam and Eve, the sky being just separated water didn't actually physically happen. Which means somehow sin came into the world without humans physically doing anything about it. So how did it actually come into the world?

And if the above is true: There is no need for Jesus Christ as he came to redeem us from our ORIGINAL sin. Provided the original sin was literal. But as we discussed earlier its not. And if its not literal then, Christianity in general is scam.
