so what happens in a reboot and why would they do it?

does this mean that the death of batman and the blackest night story arc is useless now?
also what is the last biggest arc before the reboot that happened other than the blackest night?

Please call it a multiverse. It's what it is, multiple universes, as of crisis on infinite earths. They can change the story around by saying 'oh, that was on earth 16, this is on earth 18'.
It's kinda like how marvel has the what ifs? And the zombie storylines.
