Determining Vacation Accrual - Will promptly choose best answer!!?
Dale has worked full-time for his employer for almost 2 years and has decided to resign in hopes of travelling abroad for a year. Dale was a salaried employee and was entitled to two week’s paid vacation per year.

During his entire tenure he had taken only two weeks of vacation (one week in the 2006 ‘vacationable year’ & one week in the 2007 ‘vacationable year’).

The vacationable year of the company is designated from Sept 1st to Aug 31st.

Dale’s year-to-date vacationable earnings are as follows;
Sept 1 to Aug 31, 2005 = $10,000 (employment start date Mar 1, 2005)
Sept 1 to Aug 31, 2006 = $22,500
Sept 1 to Aug 31, 2007 = $15,000 (employment end date Dec 31, 2006)

Required: Determine what vacation accrual (in dollars) is owing to Dale, given that he was not paid for any vacation during his tenure.

Total Vacation Owing = $

I live in canada ontario where the rate of vacation is 4%
