I give credit to him and his offensive for scoring 24 points on the Steelers
but in my opinion the defense won this championship
I guess I just wanted to see someone other than a Quarterback get the SB MVP
The defense won it? Did you watch the same super bowl I watched or did you watch it while smoking pot? The defense didn't do anything to help the cause other than that 1 pick 6. They almost allowed the Steelers to come back from an 18 point deficit. If not for Aaron Rodgers getting his team to score everytime the Steelers got close enough they would have lost. Not to mention that Rodgers threw 3 sure touchdowns that his recievers dropped. If they had caught them he would have put up 42 on them.
The Packers defense did make plays, but remember what you just said, "offense scoring 24 points". That means the offense did most of the work and scoring points. I agree the defense helped, but it did not win the championship. The offense paved the way for the Packers to win. Rodgers won the MVP award because he threw for 300+ yards and 3 TD's. If you take away those two stats, then perhaps someone like Jordy Nelson or Greg Jennings would have been MVP, but then again that depends on how much either produced in the game. I actually didn't expect Rodgers to get MVP, but him getting it was a testament to the kind of game he had. A QB that throws for 300+ yards and 3 TD's with minimal mistakes earns the MVP award. Defensively there wasn't really anyone that stood out except Clay Matthews for the fumble and the other guy (forgot his name) for the TD run early on.
Like the guy above me said, if Nelson hadn't dropped a couple of passes, I'm sure he'd have been MVP. But these days it's hard to compete with the bias towards QBs.

Yeah he deserved it, I would have liked to see Nelson, he made a lot of key catches, but he also had a lot of drops, no one else really played as good.
