Did anyone get asked for driving licences for the snowmobiling in Lapland, Finland?

I am going away to Finland over xmas and my travel company i booked through now only tells me after ive paid for ir that i need a driving licence to drive the snowmobiles. Has anyone been and did you get asked for your driving licence??

There's no way they'll hand over a snowmobile without a valid license. It's Finnish law, and the companies are also responsible for fulfilling their insurance obligations. I've been snowmobiling in Sweden which has similar laws, and they definitely required a license to be shown.
