This is the first time I've bought a new car from a dealership. I think I got a good deal but I'm not exactly sure. Here's the breakdown of what I paid and what the MSRP and invoice prices are for this model:

2009 Altima 2.5S Sedan (CVT) + splash guards, kick plates, floor mats

MSRP: $22,715
Invoice: $21,266
My Price w/ dest. charge (before tax+fees): $18,900
My Price (out-the-door): $20,170

I bought it before the new year. What do you think? Good deal? Could I have gotten it lower? If so, by how much?

that is a really nie car and congrats...

generally though at dealerships, and especially if you are buying a new car you should haggle the price and get them to include more options...especially with the economy in the dumps not many people can afford to buy new cars so the dealers are desperately trying to get aging cars off their lots...

the new year should've saved you some money too, just because the dealer would've wante to get rid of it because thet'd save on the end of the year taxes...

I, personally think you couldve gotten it for less, but thats just me

Don't second-guess yourself now that it's bought, just enjoy your beautiful new car! It sounds like you did okay. If you're happy with the price you paid, it was a good deal. :-)

Some dealers are offering a buy one get one free on Nissan but you would have saved around 3500 more if you would have waited until after the first of the year . My son just got one for 18,500 after all the papers were signed we live in St Louis. Hope you enjoy your new car.
