Did I ruin the whole series?

So I picked up Haunted by Meg Cabot at my friend's house and it looked good, so I read it. Turns out it was TOTALLY awesome, but it is the fifth book in the Mediator Series. I had no idea there were others! If I go back and read the first four, will it be totally stupid? HELP ME!
 
You should definitely read the first four, they're really good! Just make sure to read them by the order.
Book 1: Shadowland.
Book 2: Ninth Key.
Book 3: Reunion.
Book 4: Darkest Hour.
Book 5: Haunted.
Book 6: Twilight.
READ them, they're awesome!
 
of course not at least youve got an idea what is story all about.
