Did 'Jesus Christ' go to 'Hell' as mentioned in the 'Divine Comedy' Dante's Inferno?

When reading the Divine Comedy, Virgil often made reference to a character who he kept calling 'a mighty one' or 'the mighty one.' He mentioned how this character came down into the inferno to rescue the shades of Adam (referred to as first parent of his son), Abel, Noah, Moses, Abraham, David, Jacob, Isaac and many other not named specifically.

It is a confusing matter to wonder who this 'mighty one' could be. First thought that comes to mind is God but then I looked into other sources and eventually came to a piece of data, which says who this person is. One thing about hell (The Inferno) that is a constant law is that the name of Christ is never spoken in hell. It is like it is impossible to say his name or is restricted, even by those who know it. Instead, Virgil refers to him by another name, un possente 'a mighty one.' This was apparently another name for Jesus, or at least the name he went by when going into hell to rescue the group shades mentioned above.

Is it possible that Jesus went into the inferno? If so, then is it possible that he encountered Lucifer? One thing is certain, in hell, you need your wits about you to survive.

Here is a link I found which refers to 'the mighty one.'

What are your thoughts on this. Truth be told, I would find it incredible and cool if Jesus went down into hell, kicked some demon ass and faced off against Lucifer. Then again, that is just me.

PS: Serious answers please.
One thing I forgot to mention:

It is said that 'the mighty one' entered deep into the levels of hell to rescue some of the shades mentioned. This would mean that they did things that would be considered offensive to the lord. If that is so would that mean that a number of the well admired ancestors like Noah to Moses were at one point bad and not so pure?

Speaking of Christ:
"1Pe 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; "

Yes Jesus went to hell for three days & sleep in peace like all dead people awaiting God to resurrect him.
Acts 2:27, 31 & 32 kjv
27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

31He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

32This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

Of course He did.
