...is that a more recent trend?
To be fair, I noticed it happening during the Bush administration as well but before that, I have no memory.

The boos are pretty common, even before Bush. Part of the reason you don't remember is because before C-SPAN, we almost never heard or saw anything that went on in congress.

No matter what anyone here says, no Democrat called Bush a liar during a televised speech, they just laughed every time he stumbled over his words like a incompetent fool!!

It's NUCLEAR, not nucUlear!!!!

No,Tyrome, It started with the first congress. We did it more than then now and took the lesson from the british parliament. If you ever watched the British parliament you will see they are even more rude with speaker than we are.

Well the Dems did it to President Bush, and in the rules they are not allowed to be disrespectful but President Bush let it go. I do believe its happened in the past but for the most part people use to have more respect for the office.

they started it with BUSH.....they were playing videos on tv the other day of this...and it was disgusting. So Joe Wilson did one better and just said the truth instead of hissing. BOZO IS a liar.....and he deserves to be hissed and booed! If Nancy Pelosi can tell democrats to be loud so we can't be heard...to make such a ruckus and get up and walk out when republicans talk...then you can take a few boos!
