Want to be famous before they became famous, or did it just fall into their laps? I mean, if I want it incredibly badly and I'm persistent, will it pay off? Or does success often just find the famous?
Most people who are famous didn't have a goal of being famous. They had a goal of being successful in whatever field they were in (modeling, theater, etc.) Their success led to their fame. Your goal can't be getting famous. There are only a handful of celebrities that are famous for being famous.
