...hollywood studios? i went on www.disneyworld.com and saw that when i typed in "MGM studios" it came up as "Hollywood studios"

Yes they did change the name. I still call it MGM though. They changed thename because of pixar movies.

MGM and Disney parted ways so now it's the Disney Studios.

Yes, they changed the name from MGM Studios to Disney's Hollywood Studios. The reason is because the park has grown to engulf not only the older things, but also everything that is the present Hollywood. Even though the name is changed, I still call it "MGM Studios" because I'm so used to it!
