Did you feel safe travelling to Cyprus and Egypt?

I am planning a holiday in June 2009 to Cyprus. We are also thinking of doing a day trip to Egypt, but Im not too sure about safety?
 
I've been to Cyprus before, it's very safe.. As for Egypt, I live here, it's quite safe, not as safe as Cyprus, but you won't regret coming here..
 
VERY safe in Egypt, travel there every year & i used to live in Luxor for 2 yrs. The security now will be so tight after what happened that you will be fine, i'm sure.
I never felt safer than when i lived in Egypt, & that was during the Iraq war.
So dont miss the trip of your life by worrying.
