before Rakim? Its a long story, but it ended up being Rakim who recorded with Eric (although Foxxx had Eric B produce on Freddie Foxxx is Here).
1) Do you think if Foxxx had originally recorded with Eric B the two years before Freddie Foxxx is Here was released he would have the fame Rakim has?
2) Foxxx's album still had Eric B beats, so why didn't he get the acclaim Rakim did? Foxxx's flow and delivery far surpass Rakim's IMO, and Foxxx is a far better MC.
3) Do you think hip hop as a whole would be any different if Freddie Foxxx originally recorded with Eric B and Rakim never became known (hypothetically)? What do you think it would be like?
4) On a different note, this Undergods EP is out, and Canibus and Keith Murray tear it the hell up. If you've heard it, what do you think? If not, I recommend checking it out.
