difference between driving a truck over a sedan?

my dad is getting me a 98 silverado 3500 from a buddy of his, problem is i've never driven a truck, im used to driving my sisters 2009 VW jetta every now and then(she's spoiled as SHlT)

so i was wondering if theres any major differences or tips i need to know.

btw, both automatic cars
