difference between HTC HD2 and Samsung Vibrant Screen Display?

I'm looking at HTC HD2 with TFT capacitive touchscreen, 65K colors and Samsung Vibrant with Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors. i understand that S-AMOLED is better technology i want to ask a question. Is there a big difference between the screen display when you watch same movie, for example. The Samsung would give better quality but would you notice the difference in quality easily?
