Difference in fashion between Taiwanese and mainland Chinese?

I'm aware of the culture differences and language differences, but what is the distinct fashion trends between the two?

I keep meeting people that I think that are Chinese but then tell me they're Taiwanese ??
I can't seem to spot the difference between Chinese and Taiwanese in N. America.
Anyone got any insight?
