Differences between the Guild Wars games?

Currently, I have the first Guild Wars (Prophecies), however, I'm wondering what is the difference between the first one and the other expansion(Factions, Nightfall and Eye of the North)?

Are there classes that can be used in one but not the other?
Are there skills that can be used in one but not the other?
More details can give you a higher chance of getting 5 Starts ;)

yes, eotn(eye of the north) is a expansion and is for more skills and rewards
faction is for the two new proffesions:assasin and ritualist
and nightfall is for the two more new profesions:dervish and paragon
all three of these add more skills and new heros
