digital media player or blue-ray player?

I want to change my DVD player. I'm considering 2 options for my plasma TV, digital media player like Viewsonic VMP74 and blue-ray player. I know blue-ray player better then digital media player. Can you help me and suggest which would be better?

Well the obvious answer is Blu-Ray is much better quality! There are Blu-Ray players out there that can do the same things that a digital media player can do!
