There's a certain game I'd like to play, but I have to install DirectX9.0c. Since I got my graphic/video card replace with a new one, I thought I could finally update to DirectX9.0c.
After downloading DirectX9.0c_redist from Microsoft, I tried installing. But it said something like, "Internal Error: Please refer to DirectX.log and DXerror.log in Windows Folder to determine the problem". I did check it but I had know idea what it meant. I've searched for answers here in Yahoo, but most of them involves "rollback". I don't want to "rollback" my comp. There's too many files and arts I have to keep. Btw, nobody seems to give a complete straight answer here.
Oh! and I tried running my DXDIAG again. The only one missing is the DirectX Version. It said, "Not Found" but the version used to be "DirectX9.0b" before the graphic/video card was changed. Btw, I'm using WindowsXP. DirectX10 won't be compatible so don't tell me to download that.
Please Help! I need a REAL answer! I've been going at this for more than 2 years now.
