the kick start broke off of my dirt bike so its just the shaft coming out the side of the bike. i welded a socket onto the shaft and bought a socket drill bit so i can use my drill to start the engine. my question is, is it okay to turn the shaft continuously until the engine starts up? or would i have to turn it like two seconds then stop and then two seconds and stop so it would resemble kicks? im hoping it wont hurt it to just turn it countinuously until it starts but i dont know how its geared inside.

i know is fine to turn the engine continuously but im wondering about the shaft that the kicker is attached to since when you kick, it does about one turn then stops, so i was wondering if it matters if that shaft is continuously tunned.
