Dirt bike question beginners.?

I have never really ridden a dirtbike besides my cousions 80? 2 stroke. I know the differences because i grew up around them but i am bored with my 4 wheeler and want a good dirt bike to go about on, woods, trail, yard. Then eventually turn it in to a suppermoto but what i am wondering is a xr250r 4 stroke a good beginners bike if i take it easy until i build my confidence on it? I am 5'8" and 191 pounds. Thank you and if not any suggestions would be nice.
 
Ya four stroke is a good beginning bike for anyone there is no mixing the gas just put regular gas in and go a 250 I's kind of a big bike so make sure you take your time picking one out
