disassemble motorola karma?

It's comparatively simple and only requires a Torx T5 screwdriver. First, remove the battery cover and take out the battery. Around the circumference, you will see six small holes which are the recessed Torx screws that fasten the two halves of the clamshell case. It may seem that a Trox T5 is too large for the small holes, but it does fit. Turn each screw counterclockwise. You may hear a slight click as the shell separates. Once all six screws are loosened, use a plastic wedge or even a fingernail to completely separate the shells. Be careful while doing this! Place the phone on a flat surface to avoid damaging the slider flex cable. Once the clamshell is open, you will need to disconnect the flex cable, which easily pops off from its tiny PCB connector. Next, use the Torx T5 to remove the four screws at the top and bottom of the slider. Wiggle the flex cable through the slider mechanism cutout. Now you have four main assemblies: a faceplate/keypad, main PCB section, slider mechanism and LCD section. To disconnect the flex cable, again use the Torx T5 to remove two screws holding the silver plastic connector cover. Gently lift up on the brown rectangular cable connector and it will pop free. The flex cable is a common failure with this phone and is available on-line for about $25.
