DIVX player wont play but does download?

I watched movies and downloaded today came back from dinner and it wont play any movies but it will download them. How can I get it to just play don't want to download all the ones I wanna watch? Do I just need to uninstall/reinstall? I checked for updates and got one but it still doesn't work
It's for a specific site so it's watching the movies online unless I like them enough to download ;) but thank you for the other player advice
 
Download VLC media player and use that to watch your movies. Plays virtually all video formats without problems

EDIT: Ok, maybe you should download a codec to enable web viewing. xvid is a goodie to enable divX viewing. I got to be honest, I don't know the full benifits but I do know that it works for viewing divx movies
