Divx movies used to work on my laptop without a hitch. Then I downloaded the latest version of divx when it prompted me to. The upgrade apparently consumes a lot more memory than the previous version, because now my computer chugs like an elephant in molasses, and videos can't play for three seconds without stuttering.
Upgrading my ram isn't currently an option, so until then, is there any way you can either reduce the memory which divx consumes or downgrade to the previous version? Or, failing those, is there anything else I can do, atleast to get my videos running at their previous speed?
