DivX won't play my MKV files (properly)?

Hi There,

I've downloaded DivX player with all the add ons such as MKV codecs etc, when I open an MKV (bluray) file it does not play, it only plays when I click FF (fast forward), it plays at x2 speed and has no sound, any ideas? I can't find anything any where! - NOTE: using an alternative player will obviously fix this problem but I want DivX to work :)
