Do Acura Navigational DVD torrents work?

Navigation system updates for the Acura cost $200. wtf. But I see torrents for those specific updates I need. Do these work if I burn them onto a duel layer dvd? Will the system lock up and force me to get Acura to fix it? Someone with experience let me know.
