Do Blue-ray players support WMV files?

I have some wmv video files. (windows media video 9, WMV3)
resolution 320x240

On blu-ray.com it says, that it supports SMPTE VC-1 - standard based on Microsoft's Windows Media Video (WMV) technology.

Does it support all wmv files?
Had someone tried the windows media 9 files?

Is windows media video 9 a standard?
Except consoles, I want something cheaper
